Fresh opinion: If your orthopedic doc and pain management docs are no longer helping you, you might want to find a new team of docs that will shed some fresh thought into your situation. I'm surprised you had hip surgery before you had an MRI of that hip. Was it just exploratory? I'm not sure exactly where you live but consider trying to find an osteopathic doctor who offers manipulation to help your pain.

Many reasons: There are a number reasons you could have groin pain. It could be from arthritis, or other muscular or skeletal issues. You may want to see a sports medicine doctor or orthopedist to investigate further. An MRI may give you a better answer if X-ray shows nothing. Best wishes.
