Is it true that a patient has to eat gluten for 2 weeks prior to a biopsy of the small intestine?

Celiac: If a biopsy of the small bowel is taken without any gluten in the diet and someone has celiac disease, then possibly the biopsy would be normal. If gluten is being eaten and the person does have celiac disease, then the biopsy would show inflammation and typical findings of gluten sensitivity.
