No surprise!: It takes a while to recover from any surgery. It is a major illness. If you are improving instead of worsening, great! If you are getting worse, though, contact your surgeon right away! Your best result depends on following your surgeon's instructions, who knows the best way for you to recover as completely and rapidly as possible.

Serious Fracture.: A talus fracture is a serious injury. Post operative repair for the fracture must be monitored closely. Post operative pain is expected but any appreciable change in the recovery period, should be reported to the surgeon immediately.
