A member asked:

Less than 1cm hypoechoic thyroid nodule disappeared one month later.dr said 1st ultrasound wasn't overread. how'd it disappear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thyroid nodule: Thyroid cysts can certainly come/go. The quality of ultrasounds, the interpretation, and the definition of a "nodule" can vary. Hashimoto's can cause a patchy pattern that can look like a nodule. Certainly a small nodule that is so transient is not something to worry about. An endocrinologist should be able to interpret things.
