Lymph nodes: Your doctor is likely surveying for the presence of enlarged worrisome lymph nodes, but the fact that they're small, uniform and lacking vasculature associated with papillary thyroid carcinoma is less concerning. Depending on the extent and subtype of your disease, continued close clinical follow up by an endocrinologist with expertise in thyroid cancer will be useful for you.
