I've been diagnosed with gastritis but negative to h. pylori through biopsy. can yeast infection be the underlying cause of my stomach inflammation?

Not usually: There are many types of gastritis however yeast would be extremely uncommon cause of gastritis. H. Pylori is a bacteria that is associated with chronic active gastritis.
