Gastric nodule results. stomach, pyloric nodule biopsy: moderate chronic inactive gastritis with reactive foveolar hyperplasia and intestinal metaplasia. no h pylori or dysplasia identified. is this a benign condition and do i need treatment?

Since metaplasia can morph into dysplasia which is a precursor to cancer, I'd like you to get more advice from your gastroenterologist or even an abdominal surgeon regarding any further testing,best treatment and type of follow-up needed. Chronic inactive gastritis is confusing to me and sounds like an oxymoron.
