I have gastritis(neg. for h pylori)& takin ppi. careful w diet. gastro didnt give me any info what caused it and i'm afraid once i stop the ppi it'll recur. had lots of parasites and bact infectns.(livin abroad) anydiethelp or reasn y i got gastritis?

Gastritis is a non-specific label for any irritation of the stomach inner lining. This can be triggered by diet, chemical ingestion (ethanol), spices, bacteria and many viruses. PPI's can reduce the acid production in the inner stomach lining giving it a chance to heal in a milder environment. Thinking over what was in your diet or illnesses to which you were exposed may identify a cause.
