Possibly: There may some residual infection in the roots or in the bone or tissue surrounding the roots, so consider all options. Sometimes root are left due to the proximity of the sinus cavities or nerve branches. If in doubt, get another opinion.

Extraction : Talk to your dentist or an oral surgeon about your concerns about the root fragments. Many times they do not present any problems. If you are having pain, swelling or drainage this needs needs to be treated.
