Small amount of pinkish blood in stool. i've just had a tooth extraction is it related or should i be worried?

Bright red blood in the stool can be caused by multiple gastrointestinal causes such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, diverticulosis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Discoloration can be caused by certain foods. For instance pepto bismol and iron can make the stool black. Bleeding from higher up the tract, such as ulcers in the stomach, esophagus, and duodenum, also show up dark and black

Agree with Dr. Galima: Tooth extraction would not explain blood in stool, if the color was due to blood. You can get a kit from a pharmacy to test for blood in stool. It would be prudent to consult your doctor.
