Wrist fx: Immobilized and protected in a splint or cast. In addition it is wise to elevate the wrist above the level of your heart such as on a pillow over your chest if lying on your back.

Elevate hand: Keep hand elevated whether sleeping or during waking hours. The position of the wrist is set by your hand surgeon depending on the type of wrist fracture and the bones that are involved. S/he will be the best person to talk to you about your specific fracture, type of treatment and duration of splinting as well as the rehabilitation.
