A member asked:

Scratching my nails with my teeth, is this bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hardness: Teeth are harder than nails, so chances are nails will be affected before teeth. If habit persists with great intensity as well as duration can do damage to nails (such as fungus infection of nail beds) and teeth (uneven wear, positional displacement). Your fingers really don't belong in your mouth.
