A member asked:

I felt a strange bump on the roof of my mouth. scratched at it with my nails and found the whole palate covered in white, plaque-like gunk. can your palate be covered in plaque? or is this something else?

Bump: Yes, your palate can be covered with bacterial plaque, or Thrush fungus, or other materials. Have your Dentist evaluate and prescribe appropriate treatment, if required. Of concern is the bump. If it's more than 2 weeks old it should be investigated. Call your Dentist.
