I have a small tear at the base of my gums of my lower back left molar. i can scratch my tooth through it with my nail. doesn't hurt but is swollen?

Gums usually heal fast, but you must use extreme mouth and dental hygiene. If its swollen there may be an infection and need antibiotics. Don't put your nails into your mouth since they are also sources of infection. If not better you must see an oral surgeon.
