Tenex (guanfacine): Tenex (guanfacine) is an antihypertensive , but has been used for adhd. Your child is a bit young for the diagnosis. Maybe you should get a second opinion.

BP varies normally: Tenex, or guanfacine, is an alpha receptor agonist used to treat ADHD, and by its mode of action should not cause any serious blood pressure changes. This BP is only slightly lower and no cause for alarm. You don't need to check BP regularly unless your doctor gave you specific instructions, or there are signs of hypotension. Please discuss any symptoms of concern with the prescribing physician

Typical standard of care treatments should first include shoe modification, stretching exercises, orthotics, pain medication, injections, taping. If all fail, then other forms of treatment modalities can then be utilized.

No &amp; maybe: I'm still curious as to why you're taking Tenex (guanfacine) as you list tinnitus but not high blood pressure. Research suggests that while Tenex may cause tinnitus, it may also alleviate it. In any case, I can't find any literature suggesting that guanfacine causes nerve damage, much less erectile dysfunction, altho ED could result from less blood flow. Viagra (sildenafil) et al seems like a reasonable option

Alpha 1&amp;2 receptors: Try one and one half.

It seems that alpha 2 blockade is used in impotence to increase nitric oxide, but it seems you need both alpha 1 and 2 blockade to block vasoconstriction, since alpha 2 also block the release of norepinephrine and that will increase with alpha blockers.

i use to take linstropril (sp  ?) htcz for my blood pressure and my new doc changed me over to tenex (guanfacine) but that does that have a water pill

Hypertension: I would be curious to know why the change? Tenex (guanfacine) is typically not a first line drug for hypertension. There may be better options for you. Speak with your doctor or seek a referral to a hypertension specialist.
