Yes, it may.: Tenex is short-acting guanfacine. Intuniv, long-acting guanfacine, is approved for treatment of adhd with or without a stimulant. I've found that long-acting Guanfacine has a " mellowing" effect on moody children with adhd, with or without autism. The sleepiness usually wears off after 3-4 weeks., enough time to set behavioral limits on bedtime.
