Plain water is fine: Gatorade is fine too but if not available, just plain bottled water will be a good replacement, together with a healthy diet, wish you wellness

Depends on activity: If you exercise for less than one hour in relatively normal temps, then water is likely adequate. If you are a heavy sweater or exercise greater than one hour and/or in hot, humid environments, then electrolyte-containing beverages are encouraged during and after an event.

i feel like my electrolytes are always unbalanced. i feel like i always need to take a magnesium daily and drink a gatorade or two, otherwise my calfs are aching and my heart rate goes up a lot more than normal. how do i fix this otherwise?

i have ibs and i am a runner.  i avoid sugars.  is there another drink other than gatorade that can help replenish my electrolytes, but without sugar?

Electrolytes: There are many sugar free electrolyte replenishing options. Some are made with artificial sweeteners, some are not. It is important to note, though, that the one substance most readily depleted by high intensity exercise is glycogen which is found in muscles and your liver. The precursor for your body to store this is glucose. Without replacing glucose, you will have a longer recovery time.

is drinking 128 oz of fluid daily safe?  i try to mix in gatorade or electrolyte tabs to prevent na/k depletion, but concerned about dilution of other things in blood.  must do this to address orthostatic intolerance and not faint.

128 oz. of fluids: is too much daily.  Many nutritionally oriented professionals suggest approx. 8 8 oz. glasses daily.  Also, drinks like Gatorade can be full of sugar which can trigger glucose reaction and possible dizziness.  Please see your doc who may check your glucose, thyroid, etc.  Peace and good health.

Restless legs: You may have restless, egs syndrome, the cause of which is unknown. Check with your doctor and have him check your blood ferritin level there is a relationship between RLS and ferritin levels.

should i be drinking gatorade for electrolytes while on 50mg of prednisone? the side effects are driving me nuts. i cannot remember how long its been since ive had a good night sleep without my brain being awake all night. ill still ask my doctor.

Steroids and sleep: Corticosteroid drugs like prednisone commonly cause sleep disturbance, especially with high doses. Electrolye and fluid intake (Gatorade or any other drink) has no effect on this, assuming you otherwise have a balanced diet. Good plan to ask your doctor, but don't worry about Gatorade.
