my feet hurt a lot from standing all day at work. what is the best type of shoe i should wear?

Comfortable: Weat shoes that breathe, have good arch supports, are supple, have a cushioned sole and give overall foot support.  You may have to have orthotics places or buy supports especially in the area of the arch.  Wear good absorbent socks or woolen socks.  Make sure you let your shoes dry out after each days wear.  You may wish to have two pairs of shoes.

NEED FOR CUSHION!: Most shoes aren't always what is bad, usually it's the crummy insoles they come with! there are many possibe reasons  that you may have painful feet, but try cushioning arch supports like spenco polysorb cross-trainers(http://www.Spenco.Com/products/footcare/poly-sorb).  If these don't help, see a podiatrist.... Also try an otc anti-inflammatory, like aleve (naproxen).

sharp pain up the whole of my left foot when any weight is put on the left side of the ball of my foot. pain's gotten worse over about 2ish weeks. have been wearing tighter shoes than i usually wear as these were the only ones i had suitable for work?

: More information would be helpful  Does it hurt when barefoot or a different pair of shoes?  Swelling? Discoloration?  Physical exam. Possible X-ray needed for any suggestions. If fractured you need medical care

Stop wearing them: If the shoes are causing this, do not wear them. Try different shoes: spportive and well fitting.

In reality: This would all depend what type of foot you have. The same insert that helps one person may not help another. Having said that you can try a spence brand or a power step brand. These get placed inside of your shoe so you can stick with the same shoe you already have.

why do the bottom sides if my feet hurt? they hurt all the time, especially in the morning and better without shoes. what is causing this?

Inflammation: One of the major cause for heel pain is plantar fasciitis. This causes pain to the bottom medial aspect of your foot. Pain in the morning comes from inactivity in which the ligament on your heel becomes tight and inflamed when standing for long periods of time. Stretching and icing are the great treatments. . If pain continues seek a podiatrist in your area.

i have been having foot pain for a couple days now. i used to wear orthotic shoe inserts.i have knee problem. this is on my left foot. it's pulsating.

Need new orthotics!: If you used to wear them and now they are either too small or they are worn, your body is telling you something. For the pain, rub your foot in the arch area to warm it up. Also,  a nice cold bottle that you can roll your foot on will help decrease the pain and pulsating.

the arch of my feet hurt so bad. i use arch support in shoes what else will stop the pain. i have to stand 60 hrs a week. please help. :(?

Hard to say: If you have a severe flatfoot or pes planus problem, you may need custom orthotics.
If you already have them, you might need different shoes which may also help.
