In reality: This would all depend what type of foot you have. The same insert that helps one person may not help another. Having said that you can try a spence brand or a power step brand. These get placed inside of your shoe so you can stick with the same shoe you already have.

Metatarsal pad: An arch support with a metatarsal pad should help but i would see a podiatrist if you have burning or numbness in your toes. Ball of the foot pain can be a neuroma, irritation of the joints called metatarsalgia or a stress fracture.
