See a dentist: There is no way to be sure what the lump is without a clinical exam. It could be an abcessed tooth, a gum abcess, an infection on the floor of your mouth, a blocked saliva duct.
Any abnormality in your mouth that lasts beyond 7-10 days needs to be examined by a dentist.

So : So difficult to answer your question without an exam and radiograph, but from what you describe, it appears to be an abcess either coming from an infected nerve from that tooth or from a periodontal pocket in that area.
Either way you need to see a dentist to take care of this problem because this type of problem will not resolve itself on its own or just by taking antibiotics.

Most likely: Your body will most likely take care of the extra tissue.  It's most likely swollen from being pinched between the teeth.  If it doesn't resolve on its own a very simple procedure to remove the painful tissue can be performed by a laser trained dentist.  Take some ibuprofen if it is painful and give it a week or so to resolve.  Hope this helps!

small, moveable lumps underneath front bottom teeth. below the gums, not visible. i've had one since i was 17 that's gotten bigger, and two new ones popped up as well. they do not hurt, they feel uncomfortable. should i be worried?
