Atvian is ok: Atvian is OK to calm you down, but I would personally recommend Triazolam, which has some amnesic properties to it.  I would talk with your dentist about taking Triazolam if you are opposed to IV sedation.

Yes: There are many options for remova of wisdom teeth .  You can have them extracted under local anesthesia, tyou can have them removed with nitrous gas or different levels of IV sedation.  I usually do IV anesthesia for most of my wisdom teeth patients.  It is very safe and you go to sleep and have them removed and once you wake your all done.  Good luck!

Sure but NO: Sure you can but I wouldn't because it could lead to a deeper level of sedation during IV and possible other complications with the anesthesiologist not wanting to do the case if they know that you did.  It is your risk.

A good "rule" to : Follow for the first week - anything that you can very easily separate with a fork only, you can eat.  This opens the door to a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods.  

Sutures present -soft only.  No sutures placed - then whatever you can tolerate comfort-wise.
