A good "rule" to : Follow for the first week - anything that you can very easily separate with a fork only, you can eat. This opens the door to a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. Sutures present -soft only. No sutures placed - then whatever you can tolerate comfort-wise.

Diet after surgery: After wisdom teeth surgery the swelling, pain and sensitivity can make eating problematic. The first 24 hours soft foods such as ice cream, pudding, gelatin is your best choice. It is important that you drink plenty of fluids and not use a straw. After 24 hours more solid foods like pancakes, eggs, mashed potatoes and soft pasta. After 7-10 days go back to normal diet.
