Many: Prednisone is a steroid.  It is prescribed to reduce inflamation.  Hycodan is a cough suppressant, prescribed to control cough.  Levaquin (levofloxacin) is an antibiotic, used to kill infections.   Prednisone and Levaquin (levofloxacin) are used in the lungs, but elsewhere too.  Hycodan is just for cough.

Respiratory Distress: It appears that your wife has a severe upper respiratory inflammation which is only suppressed by systemic administration of corticosteroids. Check with pulmonologist to see if some other form of anti-inflammatory therapy could be administered or at least added to her current steroid regimen.

Perspective: Likely, she had a "rapid" test, but these maybe false negative in ~40% of cases.  Best to repeat, but get COVID-19 PCR testing.  For time being, stay quarantined.  You do not mention antibiotics, but these may be needed if bacterial infection is present (which could  be a superimposed co-morbidity).  See your doctor in followup

Maybe you, not baby.: Why was Prednisone prescribed? Do you have asthma or allergic rhinitis? It is not typical to prescribe z-pack and steroids near term pregnancy for uri. Please seek maternal-fetal medicine consultation asap and notify the perinatal anesthesiologist that you may need stress-dose steroids in labor. Are you taking inhalers? They may help more than oral prednisone. Amoxicillin may also help.

Prednisone?: Cannot imagine a sinus and lung infection which would require steroids absent other therapy. If you have an autoimmune condition this needs lengthy discussion with the doctor treating you. Steroids can produce muscle damage (myopathy), but without seeing and examining you with full access to records cannot comment. Good luck, .

Viral infection.: A one week history of an upper or lower respiratory infection is almost always a viral infection for at least 10 days to 2 weeks.  At least for the upper respiratory infection, the zithromax is not only a poor choice but is not needed.  Our American Academy of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck surgery has urged ENT doctors to be patient and watchful waiting is now the treatment of choice.
