A member asked:

What lung infection would make doctors prescribe prednisone, levequine, and hycodan (hydrocodone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pneumonia: A severe bronchitis, an asthmatic bronchitis or a pneumonia might be an indication for the drugs you have listed. The Prednisone would help with the inflammatory reaction causing wheezing and shortness of air, the Levaquin (levofloxacin) is an antibiotic and the Hycodan is to help alleviate the coughing.
