Maybe you, not baby.: Why was Prednisone prescribed? Do you have asthma or allergic rhinitis? It is not typical to prescribe z-pack and steroids near term pregnancy for uri. Please seek maternal-fetal medicine consultation asap and notify the perinatal anesthesiologist that you may need stress-dose steroids in labor. Are you taking inhalers? They may help more than oral prednisone. Amoxicillin may also help.
