A member asked:

For what kind of lung infection do doctors perscribe prednisone, levequine, and hycodan (hydrocodone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many: Prednisone is a steroid. It is prescribed to reduce inflamation. Hycodan is a cough suppressant, prescribed to control cough. Levaquin (levofloxacin) is an antibiotic, used to kill infections. Prednisone and Levaquin (levofloxacin) are used in the lungs, but elsewhere too. Hycodan is just for cough.
