have had hpv for 2 years my pap came back lsil i have a visible white lesion on my cervix i can't get a biopsy (pregnant) what can it be if not cancer?

Abn pap and pregnant: When i see a white lesion on cervix and abnormal pap, i take a biopsy.The bleeding from a v small bite on the cervix can and will be controlled and it does not affect the pregnancy.Once we get the pathology you will have your answer.

my recent pap shows, high risk hpv all except 16,18/45. low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion and squamous metaplasia. gyn app next week. what are my statistics for getting cervical cancer now? thank you?

: Low grade changes like this rarely progress to cancer. Follow your doctor's advice and your cancer risk will be zero.

my doctor just found a lesion on my cervix that indicated squamous cell l cervical cancer what will they do? does clindamycin vaginal cream help???

Surgery needed: Malignancies of the cervix must be controlled.  When the Ca is in-situ as defined by biopsy, local therapy ie. cone or cryosurgery needed.  When invasive Ca present, then hysterectomy with pelvic node dissection is most effective.  At times RT is needed post surgery.

could someone have/had bladder cancer and then have lesions show up on the cervix?

Can be, but not...: Bladder cancer is not directly related with the occurrence of cervical lesion or caner, but independent. But generally, one with cancer in one organ tends to have a higher possibility to have another primary cancer in other organs as compared to the corresponding general population; this may reflect the working of genetic factors and lifestyle.

if i'm on my period is there another way to test lesions on my cervix for cervical cancer?

Can wait 'til after: It will not make a difference if you wait until your period ends and do a pap smear with testing for the high risk HPV viruses. If you have an obvious lesion you can of course biopsy it at any time. Hope this is helpful.

i have moderate cervical cancer lesions, i already had puncture & cone  biopsy ? what's the next step & can it be done in a dr's office?

Probably surgery: It is very important to follow up with your gyn and ask these questions of them.  It does depend on what kind of abnormality is on the biopsies but may need to involve a hysterectomy.

i had a hysteroscopy d&c  i came out with pre-cancerous lesions in the cervix. the doctor told me to go back in 6 months. what does this mean. 54 yrs?

Good advice: It would be prudent to monitor the cervix by PAP smear and/or colposcopy so that if the lesion progresses, it may be removed in time.

i have been told that i have moderate to severe lesions of cervical cancer i have had a puncture biopsy and a cone biopsy now my doctor wants to do another cone biopsy should i get a second opinion or stay with the doctor im at ?

Stay the course: Hgsil is managed by a cone biopsy, but if the margins are positive, you may need another biopsy. Sometimes this affects the cervical competence (ability to remain closed).

i have low grade lesions on cervix. i previously had hpv (not 16 or 18) but previous 2 paps were good. now this, and i also have spotting after sex. colposcopy is weeks away, how likely is it cancerous? could it advance that quickly? scared.

Low grade not cancer: It is appropriate to have colposcopy to investigate the low grade abnormal cells.  These can be caused by infections or precancer but are usually not cancer itself, as it usually takes years for cervical cancer to become invasive, and your previous negative paps are reassuring.    If your current tests were more worrisome, your doctor would have arranged for more urgent colposcopy.

Non at early stage: Some will have history of genital warts caused by hpv virus , bleeding pains , pain etc will be at later stages, have regular gyn exam , with pap smear  and avoid the disease.
