i got an x-ray of my mouth done and it reported a growth on my gum. my dentist isn't sure what the growth is. i am in pain and i have been referred to the hospital now. what could it be if not an abscess?

Get evaluated: Your dentist is doing the right thing by referring you  to have the growth on your gum evaluated.  There are many things that can cause a growth like you describe and many are easily treated. Follow your dentist's referral.

does make mouth pain,growths gum thickenings bumps red patches together always mean oral cancer?if not what else can  be.22 occasional smoke marijuana

Accepted Answer

Not always: It could be pre-cancerous inflammation that will resolve once smoking habit is gone. The only way to know for sure what is going on is by having an evaluation by a general dentist or oral surgeon.

every aprox 4-6mo my 3rd molar has a growth spurt (i'm 25yo), when this happens my gums around it get swollen and sore 4 aprox a week, do i need abx?

You need OS: There is not enough room for your wisdom teeth or they are positioned to accumulate bacteria. If the infection is reoccurring you should see your dentist or an os (oral surgeon) for evaluation ANS treatment.

on bottom inside jaw i have s bone growth sticking up under bottom of  the gums its pretty big and feel it with my tougnue why? it looks to be like a bone on bottom jaw sticking out atleast 3in up touching my bottom of tongue seems to be growing what can

From : From your description, it sounds like it could be an "exostosis", a bony outgrowth.

You should see an oral surgeon to determine if that is what it is. A differential diagnosis cannot be given over the internet, sight onseen.

i was diagnosed with high growth of klebsiella spp on my gum it has been eating my gum my gun have red spot and my tongue rough i have started antibiotics today how long before it clears out?

: Klebsiella is normally found in the intestines where they do not normally cause infection. while infection with Klebsiella are rare, certain people may be more susceptible, such as persons with compromised immune systems (due to HIV, Cancer, chemotherapy, autoimmune disorders, etc) Klebsiella can also be resistant to antibiotics. Watch for symptoms persisting or worsening and talk to your DR.

This requires immediate attention by a dentist, and if left untreated can result in the loss of your teeth.

Not sure: I would need more information to answer you properly.   An educated guess is possible referred pain from your temporal mandibular joint (tmj).
