Klebsiella is normally found in the intestines where they do not normally cause infection. while infection with Klebsiella are rare, certain people may be more susceptible, such as persons with compromised immune systems (due to HIV, Cancer, chemotherapy, autoimmune disorders, etc) Klebsiella can also be resistant to antibiotics. Watch for symptoms persisting or worsening and talk to your DR.
