Yes.: Yes.  It is best that you keep hydrated because you are more likely to get another gout attack when dehydrated.  A diuretic will dehydrate you but you can take gout medicine with it.  

See a podiatrist for a cortisone injection into the joint if you have an acute attack.

See below: If you have not seen a rheumatologist, you may want to consider it.  Swollen feet can be from other causes such as heart failure and kidney disease but it can also be from inflammatory arthritis such as RA and gout.

hi i have been diagnosed with diverticulitis and also have gout. should i be careful with the antibiotics they have me on vs the steroids n gout meds.

Steroids: Why steroids with gout? That shouldn't be. You need to get off those if you have diverticulitis as they can make the attacks worse. See your surgeon and a rheumatologist asap.

If you don't feel it: Is gout but your doc does you can definatively confirm by "taping the joint".
You don't say what "gout meds" were given to you....
I would see either a rheumatologist or orthopedist.

Cuboid: There is a small bone called the os peroneum  located adjacent and slightly under the cuboid bone. It is normally positioned inside the peroneus longus muscle tendon. A partial tendon rupture there can cause the os peroneum to fracture since they function together. The cuboid bone can fracture and the avulsion fracture is caused by a ligament. Have the ortho doc check for cuboid pain syndrome.

How do you know: how do you know it is gout? Was the Uric Acid level checked in the blood? where xrays taken?

Since I: don't know what medication you discontinued or for what reasons, it's impossible to say. Generally, however, a testosterone gel, titrated to the proper dose, is the most recommended therapy. Discuss w/your doctor.

Mortality : A recent cdc report shows prescription opiate abuse as the number one cause of death in us in adolescents and young adults. Other than death, dependency leads to drug seeking, theft, poor nutrition, sleep disruption, poor academics, loss of work, legal problems, dui, loss of family and friends. Couldn't find a worse thing to do.

are there any alternative drug treatments to plavix (clopidogrel) for stroke from both carotid artery50%blockages which don't  cause adverse effects of gi bleeding?

Not really: All medications used after an ischemic stroke (cholesterol plaque rupture causing an interruption in blood flow) are treated with blood thinners. Some people are more sensitive to certain ones, so if you've had a GI bleed while on Plavix (clopidogrel), (clopidogrel) then talk to your neurologist. Plavix (clopidogrel) is usually the best, but start with aspirin 182 mg daily. If you still have strokes, then Aggrenox is the next step up.
