Cuboid: There is a small bone called the os peroneum located adjacent and slightly under the cuboid bone. It is normally positioned inside the peroneus longus muscle tendon. A partial tendon rupture there can cause the os peroneum to fracture since they function together. The cuboid bone can fracture and the avulsion fracture is caused by a ligament. Have the ortho doc check for cuboid pain syndrome.

Cuboid fragment: Without an x ray it is a difficult question to answer. Rather than seeking the advice of a gp, seeing a foot specialist ( podiatrist) is indicated.
