i have a seb keratosis on the side of my l breast -not cancer.  it's not big but if i get  it removed should i go to my dermat.  or a plastic surgeon?

Either one: Many dermatologist are train to remove lesions from the body. Plastic surgeons are as well trained to remove lesions from the body, but they are capable of removing much more complicated lesions with reconstruction of the area. So depend of the size of the lesion and location, you may want to go to a plastic surgeon and even plastic surgeon with different specialty.

i just had my wisdom teeth removed a day ago. i ate some ramen, felt i could eat, and a little piece of noodle got stuck back there. i used the pointy end of a plastic floss and finger to try and pry it out. no pain, but now worried ill get infection?

: I think you should be good. Rinse your mouth with glyoxide or some mouth wash to get rid of some of the bacteria and give your dentist a call if you develop pain, swelling, or drainage from that area.

i've been to a dermatologist who  said it looks like i have a basal cell carcinoma on my face, just above my lip. should i get a second opinion to confirm what it is? can i go straight to a plastic surgeon for a 2nd opinion and have it removed?

Basal cell CA: Depends on your insurance and network.  If the dermatologist is of the opinion that this is a basal cell it probably is. Excision is the way to go so seeing the surgeon is the best thing to do.

can you get diseases from food in plastic, like to the chemicals from the plastic go in to the food?

Accepted Answer

No risk, no worry: For the most part, government regulation -- especially in industrialized countries like Canada -- require plastics that come into contact with food to be entirely safe. Mostly there is no contamination of the food with the plastic or chemicals in it; or it is minor and believed to be harmless. This isn't anything to worry about.

why do i often (almost always) get static when i touch someone / stuffs made from plastic /cars etc? i live in hot and humid area.

Accepted Answer

Static electricity: is worse in areas of high humidity, cold or low altitude (e.g. below sea level).  The reason has to do with the pressure i.e. how fast the particles are moving -- and attractive charges between particles in the air.

what to expect once palatal expander is removed?

Accepted Answer

Nothing much: You might feel some "dents" in the tissue of your palate, but that goes away in a day or two. You will find it much easier to clean your teeth after eating. You might feel individual upper teeth re-adjusting themselves now that they are free of the bands.

if my son has swallowed several plastic puzzle pieces then will i need to do anything to get it out?

Probably not: Kids often swallow foreign material of various textures and toxicity.If a simple puzzle piece or two made it down to the stomach & didn't hang up in the swallowing tube, they should make it out the other end in a few days.Feeding a kid stewed okra can encapsulate rough foreign objects and smooth their edges for transit.I wouldn't loose any sleep over this but might take precautions for later items.

a little bit of plastic wrap melted on food. i removed most of it and i ate it (there might of been a little on it). i try not to make a habit of it. will this cause any long term effects? i read contradictory info on this. i'm worried?

: No worries. What I would worry about is all the micro-plastics you are eating now.  Review sources online and act on what you learn. Minimize use of all plastics.

i accidentally swallowed the plastic ring on bottles after chewing on it (not doing that ever again). it was a bit bent so it didn't get stuck going down, though im a bit worried about it not passing, its been about 2 days now, what should i do?

: You can get an xray to see where it is . See a doctor in person
