Why do i often (almost always) get static when i touch someone / stuffs made from plastic /cars etc? i live in hot and humid area.

Static electricity: is worse in areas of high humidity, cold or low altitude (e.g. below sea level). The reason has to do with the pressure i.e. how fast the particles are moving -- and attractive charges between particles in the air.
