toes go cold&blue/purple when i sit down but return to normal when i stand up/walk for abit. skin around toes doesn't heal well either.what'stheproblem?

Vasospasm: This is probably due to some degree of cold intolerance causing peripheral vasospasm or vasoconstriction. As you stimulate the peripheral circulation by walking around the circulation to your toes improves. If you have any other concerns about this observation, consult a vascular surgeon who will check your arteries and veins in your lower extremities.

how does reynaud's work? what is it in the body that causes blood to stop to hands and make them cold/blue, but then come back in and make hot/red?

Raynauds: It is constriction of the blood vessel that causes the cold and blue and when you reward the vessel dilates causing the red hot
Most people do not have circulation problems it's more to do with regulation and dilating blood vessels that are feeding central essential organs and constricting to the periphery toes finger tips

i have collagen problem&my toes go purple+blood takes a long time to return.i take nifedipine 5mg every 12 hours.my toes still go cold+blue. what now?

Keep warm: With collagen vascular issues, toes tend to discolor frequently and capillary refill time is typically delayed. Its important to keep warm socks on as well as a warming blanket over the feet when resting/sleeping. Natural castor oil can be massaged into the digits for increased circulation.  Nifedipine also comes in a lotion formulary to do the same.

Be seen: many possible causes, i would recommend you be seen.  potential causes could typically be neurologic or vascular.  an exam and appropriate studies will usually determine the cause and tell you which way to go.  Don't let it get to bad before you get evaluated, as you may be developing ischemia in your arm for one reason or another.

am i allergic to wheat? when i eat wheat it leaves a foul sour taste in my mouth and makes my stomach roll. however it i don't eat it with in 48 hours i feel panicy, anxious, heartburn, cold, blue fingers, and paranoia.

Um, NO!: Hi. Very abnormal! Are the lips blue too? The feet? There are MANY conditions that can cause this (cyanosis) in newborns including cardiac, vascular, and hematologic. Please take the infant to the pediatrician! Good luck.

Possibly: Cold and blue hands could definitely be due to a vascular problem. The three possibilities would be, 1) a blocked large artery of the arm, 2) a blocked vein in the arm causing venous congestion (blue color and swelling), or 3) a vasospastic condition of the hand called raynaud's phenomenon. Either way, the best test is an ultrasound. See someone urgently if you are having pain.

Sushi: there are some toxins associated with seafood. You might discuss with your doctor and either be tested or avoid uncooked seafood.
