Yes: If this is the only marker that was present as positive on a urinary dip stick it does not have to be a urinary tract infection. A urinalysis with microscopy would verify if the leukocyte esterase is from an elevated white blood cell count in the urine or a lab error. If you have symptoms of a urinary tract infection send off a urine for culture and treat empirically.

Resistant bacteria: Bacteria causing your UTI were not sensitive to Keflex. Find out urine culture result? Report indicates appropriate antibiotics. You need different antibiotic to treat your UTI. Try to have urine culture with sensitivities before changing antibiotic, if possible. As rule of thumb, always best to have urine culture done if urinalysis positive for UTI as it indicates antibiotic to use or ?change to

Generally: yes it does. BUT... while it certainly means some wbc's in urine, this may or may not be worth treating. Certainly if there are symptoms or a lot of wbc or a change in kidney function. But if it is entirely asymptomatic.. then.. not so sure.

Bacteria: It means you have bacteria in your urine sample.  It could mean a UTI, but it also could just be a contaminant, like cells from your skin.  If it was a very small amount, and the rest of your urine test was normal, than probably nothing.

last 6 urine tests have shown abnormal values for leukocyte esterase from 75-500.   what could this be indicative of? there is no bacteria culture pressent and no uti symptoms.  please help and thank you.

Leucocyte esterase: When positive, it denotes the presence of bacteria.  All bacteria that can be found in the bladder don’t cause problems.  Also, some of these bacteria could have come from your skin, swept into your urine during collection.  The urine culture is the best test to evaluate for an overgrowth of bacteria in the urine......also,as women get older, it is easier for non-problematic bacteria be present

Does not add up: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the results provided are not interpretable due to incorrect units.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

: Follow your doctor's advice about treatment. At your age, any and all UTIs should be treated, regardless of symptoms or not. Not treating will leave you at risk for potentially serious complications, like spread of infection to one or both kidneys (pyelonephritis), requiring hospitalization and IV antibiotics.  The particular bacteria causing the infection makes no difference. Good luck.

WBC on UA: The serum albumin and GFR seem fine, but you have some WBC and leukocyte esterase in the urine.  Could be a subtle infection.  Could be an inflammatory condition of the bladder or kidney.  Should be investigated.

Pyuria: Pyuria or high WBC in the urine can occur from a variety of conditions, some are related to stones or crystals, some from inflammation of the bladder wal and some from urinary tract infections. A urologist can help you.
