GET Seen: A leep procedure is an invasive surgery of the cervix using a 'hot loop of wire' to literally carve out an abnormal pre-cancerous area.  Severe  post-operative (post-op) bleeding from any surgery can be serious--so it is best to get seen. Perhaps a 'clot fell off 'or an artery got eroded.  I had a 1 week post-op patient (from cervix cryo) develop artery bleeding which had to be fixed quickly.

US or CTA: Duplex Ultrasound (US) is usually used for diagnosis of upper or lowe extremity venous blood clots. CT angiogram is used for diagnosis of venous blood clots in abdomen, chest or brain. VQ scan is an alternative to CT angiogram for diagnosis of blood clots in pulmonary veins.

Duplex US or CTA: The usual test for diagnosis of lower or upper extremity venous blood clots (DVT) is duplex Ultra sound (US). The usual test for diagnosis venous blood clot in chest, abdomen or brain is CT angiogram. There are some other tests such as VQ scan for diagnosis of pulmonary embolism

Should be safe: In view of complexities described, would discuss with your doctors prior to procedure.  Whether or not to use anticoagulants is best decided prior to intervention.  I think the proposed ablation could be done safely under the circumstances.

i am interested in the novasure procedure. i am 28 and have very heavy bleeding, severe cramps and pass blood clots. had a tubal ligation at 23 due to damage from auto wreck. would i be able to have this done?

Probably  : Endometrial ablations are great procedures to treat heavy periods. Personally i prefer genesys hta over novasure but both are good procedures. You should have no problem finding a doctor trained to do these. Many are trained to do them in the office under local anesthesia.

: Blood clots can block the urethra. Drinking plenty of water after the procedure is important in preventing clots from doing so. Drink at least 8 glasses of liquids per day. Call your urologist if you can't void, develop fever, abdominal pain or continue to bleed briskly.

It : It sounds like your breast augmentation surgery was complicated by a postoperative hematoma. Breast augmentation without the additional surgical procedure takes time to heal, for swelling and bruising to resolve. Your breasts will most likely take even more time to heal and during this process they will evolve in shape and size. It is probably too early to tell if the early shape disturbance you see now will be there months from now. Without seeing you preoperatively, or knowing exactly what was done for you surgically, it would be very difficult to render a more of an opinion at this time.

If : If someone is undergoing a major operation and the operation is expected to be long a small dose of blood thinner (much lower than the dose to fully thin the blood) is usually given to prevent a blood clot from forming while the patient is undergoing surgery.
