The quiet,: and lack of outside stimulation allows you to mentally ruminate.  Try to preoccupy yourself with a good book, call a friend or socialize.  Guided imagery and meditation done well can also be of help.

what makes my anxiety worse at night ?   i can controll it in day time but when it gets dark i get scared of dying how can i handle this ?

Panic attacks ??: It could very well be panic attacks when you are alone at night. During the day being busy your attention is to your visual surrounding. May be at night you have certain thoughts or fears which are precipitating those attacks. Best advice is to see a psychiatrist to discuss these issues and offer you a treatment.

i have been taking celexa (citalopram) for gad for a month now. i do feel like it has helped for the most part, but at night time i am still struggling with anxiety. could it be something else? or a higher dosage?

GAD: If you feel anxious at night, you have to go back and see the doctor who prescribed you celexa (citalopram). The doctor will adjust the dosage if needed or discuss with you the best option to optimize the result of your treatment. Good luck!

Zoloft (sertraline): There is no rule of thumb -- start with the medicine at bedtime -- if you find that it is keeping you awake, take it in the morning -- see what works best for you.

i've had a tingling tongue for 2 weeks now. sometimes it'll be on the left side, sometimes in the middle, sometimes on the right. some days it's bad. some days i don't feel it. i do grind/chew at night at times (anxiety/stress). what could it be?

i take trintellix daily, and lorazepam as needed for anxiety and sleep. 1-2 times a week at night.

i consumed 6-7 drinks 24 hours ago. can i take 1mg lorazepam now? i do not combine and did not take lorazepam prior to drinking. i do not drink often?

Dangerous practice: I must say that having 6 to 7 alcoholic beverages is quite excessive. You should not be using any alcohol if you take Trintellix or if you use Lorazepam. This doesn't mean that you try to careful time doses between alcohol use - it means avoiding alcohol use. Suggest you hold off on Lorazepam. Please let your prescribing provider know about your alcohol use.

if you on effexorxr 225mg daily for anxiety/panic and still have to take ocassionaly a benzo such as valium 5mg or rivotril 0.5mg say 3-4 times a week at night. does it mean the snri is not working well? should other options be considered?

SNRI: Yes, I do think if you are on effexor at that dose and still needing anti anxiety medication that often you may want to inquire about another medication or getting therapy to deal with anxiety at night in other ways - meditation, relaxation etc.

can dizziness be a part of anxiety? i've been checked out multiple times and everything checked out fine but i'm still dizzy, mostly at night. more like full head swimming in syrup. anxiety?

Vertigo?: Dizziness can be part of many things - including anxiety. When you mentioned it feels worse at night I thought about positional vertigo. The inner ear fluid shifts when our head moves and can cause the sensation of dizziness. Hope this article will help you - at least start a talk with your MD about it.
