GAD: If you feel anxious at night, you have to go back and see the doctor who prescribed you celexa (citalopram). The doctor will adjust the dosage if needed or discuss with you the best option to optimize the result of your treatment. Good luck!

A Little More Time: Most ssri type medications, such as celexa, (citalopram) start to demonstrate improvement after two weeks. Maximum efficacy usually occurs after six weeks. Still improving at week four is encouraging. If after six weeks improvement is inadequate a dose increase may be appropriate. Alway work closely with the prescribing physician before making any changes to one's medication regimen.

Talk to doctor: You should talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Counseling, psychotherapy, or adjustment of the dose of medicine may be warranted.
