Short term ortho: You can have short term orth again to correct the issue.  Truly it's not a huge issue but if you are concerned by it I would have it looked at.  No worries

Are the spots on the front teeth or the surfaces of the back teeth?

He may be getting some staining in the little pits and grooves on the biting surfaces of his teeth. Two is about the time to consiter taking him to the dentist, so have his new dentist take a look and let you know what it is.

When in doubt it is always wise to have the child examined by a pediatric dentist or your general dentist to find out for sure what the cause is.

Absolutely: Depending on the level of fracture, the teeth can almost certainly be fixed.  It will be important for him to be evaluated properly by a dentist first, however.  A periapical x-ray (one that shows the roots) will aid, critically, in determining the extent of the damage.  But take heart, these are, after all, his baby teeth. He may just meet the tooth fairy sooner than planned!

Yes: Premature loss of baby teeth can cause problems with crowding of permanent teeth. Also if the teeth are left to decay long enough, the child could develop abscesses which could lead to other problems.
