A member asked:

My 3 year old son has broken his two front teeth, can anything be done to fix them?

Absolutely: Depending on the level of fracture, the teeth can almost certainly be fixed. It will be important for him to be evaluated properly by a dentist first, however. A periapical x-ray (one that shows the roots) will aid, critically, in determining the extent of the damage. But take heart, these are, after all, his baby teeth. He may just meet the tooth fairy sooner than planned!

You need to: Have him seen by a dentist if not done already. Composite bonded restorations are esthetic options but the best option will be recommended by the treating dentist. Hope this helps.

Broken teeth: Depending on how much has been broken off, if the nerve is involved and whether the teeth were loosened the different treatment plans could be as follows: 1 - restore teeth with composite build ups and check bite. 2- perform pulpotomies and restore with esthetic crowns. 3 - extract teeth and place a shade appropriate grouper to replace the affected teeth.
