Depends: Removal of teeth in a two year old with decay depends on the amount of decay present. If the tooth is too badly decayed and does not have enough sound tooth structure to have a filling or crown placed, the tooth should be removed.

Depends: If the teeth can be repaired, it's best to do so. However, if the teeth a severely decayed, it may be necessary to extract them. Depending on the area of the mouth teeth are extracted, the space may need to be held by using a space maintainer so that the space will remain open and available for the permanent teeth.

2 year old and decay: Sometimes it is necessary to extract a tooth on such a young child. The bigger issue is what caused the 2 year old to have this severe a case of tooth decay. The diet and feeding habits should be examined.
