Self harm
In brief, it is the action or inaction (failure to take action) that intentionally seeks to cause damage to oneself. Can range from mild physical harm, i.e. Scratching, to the extreme of causing death. An example of inaction would be not taking one's Insulin resulting in serious life threatening consequences.
