No: Stitches are required for lacerations that are approx 5mm or when the subcutaneous fat is seen. Location and type of wound will also determine if you need stitches. Please don't self harm.

Be seen: It's hard to know where you cut yourself or what structures could have been harmed. Please see your physician, or go to an er or urgent care center to have the area examined. Psychiatrists and psychologists can also help you with the urge to self-harm.
