Endoscopic sinus surgery
Endoscopic sinus surgery describes a group of surgical procedures performed using fiberoptic telescopes and other instruments through the nostrils, thus avoiding incisions. The visualization afforded by the endoscopes is far superior to older techniques. The most common indication is for those patients who suffer from chronic or recurrent sinus infections and have failed medical management.
