3 days post-op: Tough to say just 3 days post-op. It may be some inflammation still present. See your ENT surgeon for a follow-up visit and get evaluated to see how you are progressing, best wishes.

Yes: The congestion is in the nose, and not from the sinuses. Usually some type of packing is inserted in the nose and you may simply have some of that left in the nasal passages. Obviously, ask your rhinologist for an explanation. I usually do not see my patients after microscopic endonasal sinus surgery for 2 weeks. Ask your doctor what kind of pack he may have inserted in the nose after surgery.
