Sinus surgery: It is surgery to open your sinuses so they drain better. It is done through the nose without external incisions. It is done as an outpatient with generally a very quick recovery.

Mininmally invasive: Endoscopic sinus surgery describes a group of surgical procedures performed using fiberoptic telescopes and other instruments through the nostrils, thus avoiding incisions. The visualization afforded by the endoscopes is far superior to older techniques. The most common indication is for those patients who suffer from chronic or recurrent sinus infections and have failed medical management.

Sinus surgery: Sinus surgery is a procedure where the normal drainage tracts of the sinuses are widened. Endoscopic sinus surgery just means you are doing the surgery with an endoscope. It is much less invasive than the older methods, and your recovery is typically shorter.
