Sinus Surgery: It is the term for the current method of sinus surgery. Functional refers to opening up the obstructed sinuses. Endoscopic means using a 4 mm endoscopic (that is usually attached to a camera), thus it can be done all through your nostril. And bilateral means both sides. If you still have questions about what your surgeon plans to do, you should make another appt before surgery to review.
