A question back?: Perhaps a better question is why would one to continue to smoke when they just had sinus surgery. Sinus surgery, even endoscopic, can be painful and disabling and smoking just sets you up down the road for more problems with your sinuses there is effective medical and behavioral help for patients who are tobacco dependent. Please at least consider same.
