A member asked:

What is the likelihood that a singular 4 year old lesion on the mid/upper thigh be diagnosed (by sight) as seborhheic keratosis but actually be a genital wart caused by hpv?

HPV strains are specific to the tissue type they thrive in. Genital wart strains infest the genital skin, although they can cause warts in the oral cavity/mouth of immune deficient individuals (rare). Genital wart strains do not cause skin defects on the regular skin of the thigh. There are skin wart strains. SK's are common and seldom require special testing for diagnosis.
