There are many strains of HPV. While the typical genital strains can possibly cause warts in non-genital areas, it is much more likely that such warts are either caused by a different HPV strain or are not caused by HPV at all. Freezing these lesions is typically effective treatment in either case.

They are more common on or around the genital area, or anus in case of rectal intercourse, uncommon in the areas you mention
